God Poem: My Sins, My Lessons

Here is another poem just thanking God for his gracious work in sparing me (if He has in His divine will!)

God Poem 56: MY SINS -- MY LESSONS

God I know that I have sinned,
But that sin stops right now,
For I've read the Bible; had the verse pinned,
That I shall not be wretched in my way of the town.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made,
In the image of you, my Lord.
Please let me repent to you,
For I know my sins, Lord.

I know that I have been given into temptation,
I know it has nearly gotten me into trouble,
That is why today Lord, I am giving to you
The work and the tireless diamonds in the rubble,
That I will finish the works up ahead with no adieu.

I will, from now on do the work
That you have called forth,
With no transgressions anymore,
I understand that in order for me to reap blessings
In order to gather a grand harvest,
I will abstain from sin and sow new seeds of greatness,
And grace to give to you and your nest.

Dear Lord, I hope it is not too late,
I hope you have not given me over to a depraved mind,
I can prove it to you,
That I can change,
To be better than the average dew.

Dear Lord, I have thought about my past,
Dear Lord, I am sorry,
I am praying that your judgement
Comes in my favor
I pray that my drop

Other people may divorce,
But God I stand by my woman for life,
And Lord, I will never remarry,
I am bound to her for life.

I will not sin and commit adultery,
I will be faithful for her; I'll be free,
Lord, now that I am free from all that,
I hope that I can last,
For I am your creation,
I thank you for being born,
For more than temporal recreation,
But to do something great.

Lord I will not fight ridiculous wars,
This country's going down one by one.
I once adored this country before the war,
But now it makes no sense.

I am obedient,
I am strong,
I am confident because I believe in you Lord.
Lord, I repent again
It is my hope that with long life,
You satisfy me.

God, I know I have not, Because I ask not

God, I know I have not,
Because I ask not,
Before I have known that I was jealous,
I was in a sea of envy,
But God the one thing I ask right now,
Is to rinse me of depression ,
Let me enjoy now,
What is in my life now.

God, I get not,
Because I ask not,
I get not
Because I am ready not.
But Lord, I know there is something great
On the other side of the cot.

God, I get not,
Because I have finished not,
With what you have given me already
That I still have to hold steady.
Lord, I confess that I have complained,
Lord, I confess that I have remained dull,
But Lord, I know you won't entrust me with more,
Unless I get what you've placed before me done.
God I receive not,
Because you've entrusted me with too much.
I have so much to do; to be thankful for.

God, I know you have closed doors,
But I know that you have opened others,
It may not be mopping or sweeping floors,
Or entertaining millions of others,
But my heart stays right.
I will help others when it is brought to light.

God I have not increase,
Because I've sold it to someone else,
Time and time again comes the disease,
The gnawing that I feel every time I give my work to others.
That of all things is a sin that I'm feeding,
In order to quit feeding it, God
I need this sinful door closed.

Lord, I put a smile on my face,
Although I am growing arid inside,
The ache of hunger is brought upon me,
To the point that dimmed my faith's sight.

Quitting Jealousy
God, I will say this in prayer,
That the poet who wins the prize,
After serving you
And paying the price,
I am happy for them.
I shall not be envious.
I shall not jeer and be in anger.

God I will also say this,
That the musician who goes far places,
Gets a Grammy or two,
Lord I am happy that they chose this career,
I am happy to listen to them too,
Not jealous and seething with rage.

God, I know that not every endeavor,
Equals positive success,
Not every effort is greeted
By an honest audience.

God Poem 63--"Bereave Me of This Life"

God Poem 63

If you want to take me Lord,
I am all yours,
If you want to take me Lord,
consider my will yours,
If you want to make me Lord,
The object of your wrath,
I'll be waiting here,
For you to come and bereave me,
Of this life, truth or lie, Oh Lord.

I know I've sinned,
And I've come to an end,
Where I've realized you win,
Lord, though I have repented,
If you deem it far too late,
I am right here for you,
Though if there is still time,
I'd like to bow my head and pray,
For sixty more years added to my life.

If you want to take me Lord,
I am all yours
If you want to take me Lord,
consider my will yours,
If you want to make me Lord,
The object of your wrath,
I'll be waiting here,
For you to come and bereave me,
Of this life, truth or lie, Oh Lord.

God Poem 62

God Poem 62

Dear God,
Oh what tragedy hardens us,
From our folly,
Lord, we are mistaken,
Think our words will save men,

For we are but men ourselves,
God, we shout,
God, we hear your voice,
The word of God rings out!
Warns us to make the right choice.

The Lord Almighty says,
The Lord Almighty says,
Follow me; heed my commands,
Lest ye shall otherwise perish
Oh, Lord how my heart's in anguish
Lord, only you I cherish,
I repent for thy sins,
Of all my worldly sins.

Dear Lord, have mercy,
Have mercy,
I am dying here on earth,
How cursed is my birth!
Dear Lord, have mercy,
Have mercy!
Jesus Christ, the Son of God!

Why does the word of God
Hurt people so,
When it says clearly
To not interpret and be feeble
Be true to the word of God!

Are you not a child of God
God made you,
He gave all a chance,
To repent of all sins through,
To avoid God's wrath that's due.

We say,
Dear Lord, have mercy,
Have mercy on me!
My faith is upon you,
Holy Son of God

Have mercy, have mercy,
Have mercy on us,
For we repent, we come to you,
In God we trust.

Oh, God,
Oh, God,
Oh my God,
Oh, God
My, God!

Have mercy,
Christ the Son of God,
Christ the Son of God!
Have mercy, have mercy,
Sovereign Lord,
Our God.

We Think It Is All A Joke

Dear God,

Let me do this bit of preaching for the people of America. Also, use this that I've written in your name in order to cleanse me from all sin.

God Poem 60

We think it is all a joke,
Preaching the truth of the Bible,
But the great and terrible day
Is coming upon us as liable.

All of us, including me,
Will be thrown into the lake of sulfur,
God, as I speak these words,
My iniquities are a filling topper.

Does it matter which iniquity is greater?
Are different sins comparable?
To what are they compared to,
When they are invariable?

The truth is, we are all headed for Hell,
Be there no comfort in the future?
Not unless we show true repentance,
To dismiss the copper and pewter of sin,
For the gold and sliver of properly earned penitence,
For salvation is the ultimate goal.

Let there be love enough,
To tell when evil is afoot,
Let the true gospel be understood,
To do what it says,
To enjoy our daily bread,
But to all so help others who are in dread.

If our days are better or worse,
God, please lead us into the right spirit,
For our time is short,
Only few accept the word, the few who hear it.

Purify My Heart!

God, let us not keep you last. Your word is the only word and the only standard that matters. I feel blessed when I write about you and for you. Dear God, you are perfect in your love, hate, and anger toward us rebels of the United States and other countries. Let us all bow down in shame for our sin.

"Father, I mourn for my sin,
I wish to cast it out,
For it is written,
That if a child of God
Keeps on sinning,
After Jesus made His sacrifice,
Then there are no sacrifices left."

Dear Father,
I again bow my head in shame,
I don't know why you created me,
But to you and only you,
God be the Glory!

I know how you cannot stand lukewarm christians,
But I am one, one hoping and waiting to be changed,
To a pure heart,
For I hate most of what the world has to offer.

Why don't people in music or writing,
Ever write anything proclaiming your gospel,
I am ready and waiting to receive
Your chastising punishment to put me in Hell,

I know that it is wrong,
But as the apostle Paul said,
"What I should do, I don't,
What I shouldn't do I end up doing."

That statement alone,
Is enough to make me scream,
"God, purify my heart forever!
Never let me return to sin, never!"

However, God it is your choice,
Whatever happens is for your glory,
Whether it be peace or catastrophe,
Let it come.

In the name of the Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
